Aliben Technology participated in VOCs navigation monitoring of the Yangtze River
Preparation for sailing
On August 28-30, 2024, Chengdu Aliben Technology Co., Ltd. assisted Hubei Ecological Environment Monitoring Center Station to carry out a three-day VOCs water navigation monitoring work on the Yangtze River. In order to ensure the smooth development of the project, the company formulated the corresponding task plan according to the site requirements and set up a technical team to provide strong technical support for the navigation monitoring and data analysis. The equipment adopts PTR-TOF MS 6000 proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometer, a high-resolution mass spectrometry product independently developed and produced by Aliben Technology, to provide a strong guarantee for the accuracy and effectiveness of monitoring data.

The variation trend of VOCs concentration during navigation is shown
After three days of navigation monitoring, it can be found that the main contributing sources of VOCs concentration in this channel are aromatic hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons, in which p-diethylbenzene and p-ethyltoluene are the main sources, and the main composition of ozone generation potential OFP is similar, so it is necessary to pay attention to the emission of aromatic hydrocarbon sources dominated by p-diethylbenzene. As for the emission sources, some river sections need to focus on the emission sources of industrial painting and automobile manufacturing on both sides of the region, and the rest of the river sections need to focus on the emission sources of rubber products and catering on both sides of the region.
PTR-TOF MS 6000 proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometer
PTR-TOF MS technology is an emerging technology that can realize online detection of trace volatile organic compounds and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs/SVOCs) by combining proton transfer ion source and time-of-flight mass spectrometry, and can qualitatively and quantitatively detect VOCs/SVOCs of pptv magnitude in a few seconds. It has the advantages of fast response speed, no need for pre-processing, high sensitivity and low detection limit. It has been widely used in environmental monitoring, food and flavor science, biological research, medical research and other fields.
