The 19th Western China International Expo (19th WCIE) is co-hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the General Administration of Market Supervision (GAMS), the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), the National Association of Friendship with Foreign Countries (NAFCC), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and the People's Government of Sichuan Province (PGPS) with support from BFA, and is hosted by PGPS. West Expo to "China's new era - a new journey in the west" as the theme, adhering to the "common, sharing, win-win" concept of running the meeting, around the overall layout of industrial development in the western region, focusing on the western region to showcase the resources, markets, industries and business environment advantages, build an important bridge to the world of China's western.

From 29 June to 3 July 2023, the 19th Western China International Expo (WCIE) was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. This year's WCIE gathered 56 countries and regions, 27 domestic provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as more than 220 overseas enterprises to participate in the exhibition, and the exhibition site was bustling with activity.

/Time-of-flight mass spectrometry system for early screening of lung cancer in human exhaled breath/

Chengdu Alibaba Technology Co., Ltd. and West China Hospital of Sichuan University jointly developed a time-of-flight mass spectrometry system for early screening of lung cancer in human exhaled breath, which has an international leading level. By qualitatively and quantitatively analysing VOCs with the ultra-high resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometer independently developed by Alibaba, it can achieve rapid diagnosis, early warning, and efficacy/condition tracking of lung cancer and other diseases, and its accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity can reach more than 90%.

PJ-AES is a high-performance spectroscopic instrument for direct analysis of solid samples based on the principle of atomic emission spectroscopy. It has a built-in high-energy density plasma excitation source developed independently. The high-temperature plasma acts directly on the surface of the solid sample, and the elements in the sample are gasified and excited at high temperature, and the corresponding characteristic spectral lines are generated during the process of de-excitation back to the base state, and the elemental composition and content of the sample are derived from the analysis of the characteristic spectral lines.
